Empty Nest Vacation House

I’ve never been into a Homestay before. Whenever I travel, I either stay at hotels, resorts, or pension houses. It was never an option for my travels before since I usually do random backpacking trips, and pension houses/dorms are usually the type of accommodation where I am most familiar with.

That is why I was totally overjoyed when I learned that I, along with nine other Cebu bloggers, will be staying in Empty Nest Vacation House –  a house in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, which has been turned into a Homestay. This house is located in a residential compound, conveniently situated on a road going to Panglao Island.

The house has three air conditioned rooms, two of which can accommodate at least three persons and one room that can accommodate four persons. The house also has two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a dining area, a laundry area, front yard and a 2-car park.

Afterthoughts

I had a great time staying at Empty Nest Vacation House. The host, Ms. Hanna Dumaluan was very accommodating to all our needs and even went beyond what’s necessary. The only thing I regretted was that I was not able to use all the amenities to fully experience what Empty Nest have to offer. If we had more time, I would have wanted to cook in the kitchen to truly feel ‘at home’. However, my stay there was a wonderful experience. It even felt like I was only staying at a Tita’s house. 🙂
The price may seem pricey to budget travelers, but I would say it is worth it. At only PHP 3000 pesos, you can already use ALL the amenities at home. I mean, that price already covers the use of all the rooms in the house, cook whenever I want, and just basically be at home. I will certainly go back and might actually bring my family next time. 🙂
