The weather today makes me want to escape the city and relax somewhere faraway. Also, the Cebu City skyline as of the moment is covered in haze. Yes, haze. Pfft.

Anyway, this weather makes me want to go back to Busay Holiday Pools where my sister celebrated her birthday last June. It is located at Baranggay Malubog, Busay, Cebu City. If Mountain View Nature’s Park or Tops Skyline no longer fascinates you, this would be the perfect place for you to chill out with friends.

The view is really amazing. There are four pools; two is for kids and two for adults. If you’re up to adventure, they have a hanging bridge at the center of the area. There is also a children’s playground perfect for kids and kids-at-heart. 🙂

They have lots of cottages available, I’m sure you won’t have a problem finding one. A quick tip though, I would advise that you book for the cottage nearest to the entrance. The view is spectacular and it’s the nearest to the first pool for adults.

Our cottage was so spacious and beautiful. We didn’t regret choosing this spot since we had the first pool all to ourselves.

“Laughing is, and will always be, the best form of therapy.”

The resort is still new and in fact, some corners and gardens are still under construction. Although the place is really beautiful, they have not attracted lots of visitors yet. Which is somehow a disadvantage to the management, but certainly an advantage to us. <evil laugh>

Kidding aside, I guess it’s because the area is sort of inaccessible yet to Cebu City residents. Although the resort is located beside the road, there are few public vehicles going there. We were fortunate since we had our own vehicle when we went there. Nevertheless, if you’re up to uncrowded pools, Busay Holiday Pools is the perfect place for you.

Busay Holiday Pools is located in Bry. Malubog, Busay, Cebu City. Unfortunately, the resort is still not recognized by Google Maps yet. The good thing is, the signage is visible on the road along Cebu Transcentral Highway.

If you don’t have your own vehicle, you can ride a jeepney bound for Bonbon, Busay from Lahug Market near JY Square Mall. However, only a few jeepneys are available and they don’t even have a signage. You can also hire a habal-habal driver from JY to bring you to Busay Holiday Pools. You will have to discuss with the driver on how much would be the fare as we had our own vehicle when we went there. I would say though that it would be around 100-150 pesos for one-way fare.
