Liloan Fast Craft Port

The Liloan Fast Craft Port is a great option for passengers who are looking for a quick and efficient way to travel from Liloan to Dumaguete. Fast craft ferries operate every hour, ensuring regular departures and minimizing wait times. The fast craft service is perfect for travelers who are not bringing vehicles and prefer a faster crossing. With a travel time of approximately 20 minutes, this option is ideal for those who are in a hurry or simply want to enjoy the scenic views of the Tañon Strait without spending too much time on the water. 

In addition to passengers, small cargo such as bags or packages can also be transported on these ferries. However, if you're traveling with a larger vehicle, this may not be the right choice for you. The speed and efficiency of this route make it a popular choice for tourists and locals alike who are heading to Dumaguete or Negros Island without the need for a vehicle.

Directions from Cebu City


Liloan is located in the town of Santander, southern Cebu, about 135 kilometers away from Cebu City. If you're traveling from Cebu City, the easiest way to reach these ports is by taking a bus bound for Liloan, Santander. 


There are several Cebu South Bus Terminal operators that run routes going south to Santander, where you can alight near Liloan Port. The Ceres Liner buses are one of the most popular options, and the trip usually takes 4-5 hours depending on stops. Once you arrive at the Liloan or Santander bus stop, you can either walk or take a tricycle for the last 3-5 minute ride to the port.


If you're traveling from Cebu City, another easy way to reach the port is by taking a private car, taxi, or using GetTransfer. The drive typically takes around 3-4 hours, depending on traffic conditions. 


Transportation Options Within Liloan


Once you're already in Liloan, getting to the port is simple. If you're staying nearby, you can take a tricycle, which is the most common and affordable mode of transport for short distances within the town. Tricycles are readily available throughout the town and can take you directly to the port in just a few minutes.  Fare for a tricycle ride should be very reasonable, usually costing around PHP 20-50.


If you’re coming from a more specific location within Liloan, such as from Liloan proper or nearby resorts, you can ask locals for directions, as the port is well-known and easy to find. Bato Maayo Shipping Wharf to Tampi: For a different route to Dumaguete, you can use Bato Maayo Shipping Wharf, which is located just 5 kilometers from Liloan Port. Ferries here head to Tampi Port in Amlan (Negros Oriental), and from there, you can charter a jeepney to Dumaguete City.

Port of Cebu to Dumaguete: If you're in southern Cebu and need to go back to Cebu City for some reason, you can take a ferry from the Port of Cebu to Dumaguete City. Options like the OceanJet fast craft or overnight ferries provide frequent service and varying travel times.


Cebu City to Dumaguete by Air: Alternatively, if you prefer flying, there are direct flights from Cebu City to Dumaguete City. Flight times are typically under an hour.
