One of the favorite places I’ve visited in Bohol during the Seas The Day Bohol Tour is Dumaluan Beach Resort in Panglao. It has been a long time dream to see what others have been telling me about the fine and white sands of Panglao.
Upon arriving the beach resort, we did a quick interview with the owner and learned how Dumaluan Beach Resort started. The resort started in 1986 only as a place where the Dumaluan clan hold their birthday celebrations under a single hut. As the years went by, they decided to build more cottages to accommodate the growing family and friends.
What I love the most of our interview was when I learned that that the owners, along with the Boholanos, had to fight their rights to keep this resort. During the Marcos era, the neighboring resorts of Dumaluan (left and right) which is owned by the Bohol Beach Club, wanted to acquire Dumaluan Beach Resort. According to the owner, Bohol Beach Club was strongly affiliated with the Marcoses then. They were thankful that they had a lot of back up, mostly the locals who fully supported them for their cause – to let the Boholanos all over the province enjoy the white sands of Panglao without worrying of breaking their banks.Today, it has become one of the most visited beach resorts in Bohol, ideal of big informal gatherings and team-building activities. They currently have 18 available rooms plus 10 new ones that are still under construction. They also have 40 available cottages by the beach for day or night use.
I would love to go back to this beach this summer to get a dose of vitamin sea! I am not a beach person but I think I will enjoy having a quality time with myself in this resort. I just love how clean and well-maintained Dumaluan Beach Resort is. And most importantly, it is not expensive. For inquiries, reservations, and more information, you may reach Dumaluan Beach Resort through the following numbers:
